I open my eyes to this light
Shining on my face in this midnight
Hearing the church bells
Sounding like farewells
This path leading to gravestones
Droplets of rain falling like gemstones
Everyone in black around a tomb
Your face bowed down in gloom
Our memoirs playing in front of me
You hold her as you weep for me
Cutting me deep, your pain isn’t real
Acting on your selfish desires just cruel
As you place a red rose on
My tomb that reads ‘forever yours, but forever gone’
